ADR Approved Products

Australian Design Rules (ADRs) are national standards for vehicle safety. The standards apply to vehicles newly manufactured in Australia or imported as new or second hand vehicles, and supplied to the Australian market.

They specify the photometric requirements for reversing lamps which will warn pedestrians and other road users that the vehicle is about to move or is moving in the reverse direction, and which during the hours of darkness will aid the driver in reversing manoeuvres.

They also cover the requirements for a device mounted on a motor vehicle or trailer which when operated by the driver signals the intention to change the direction in which the vehicle is proceeding.
